Blackberry 9100 aka Kickstart - RIM's First Clamshell info Recap

I usually don't want (or try not to) bring you 1 1/2 month old news, but this one was a complete surprise to me and maybe it'll be news to you too.
RIM is slowly cooking a first clamshell phone, a wild mix of Pearl and Sony Ericsson W580i and the first lucky ones to get it are T-Mobile subscribers.

Phone Specs:

  • Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE (No 3G)
  • "Next Gen" SureType keyboard (Improved T9 ?)
  • 2 Megapixel camera
  • 16-bit color LCDs
  • Internal LCD is 240×320, external one is 160×128
  • Wi-Fi b,g
  • 3.5mm headset jack
  • OS is 4.6
According to Internal T-Mobile upcoming device launch roadmap, and things are looking alright for current and future subscribers. The company expects to launch no fewer than 16 devices between June 16th and August 1st, including the BlackBerry Kickstart, Blackberry Bold, Shadow II, and Moto ROKR E8.
